Hi all,
Thank you to all those who have been praying for me.
These are some things that I would appreciate prayer in:
• God to be equipping and preparing my heart for this mission
• Faithfulness and effectiveness in serving with the Christ Bible Institute team in all the ways God might call me
• Personal growth in my relationship with Jesus Christ
• Learning more Japanese and remembering Japanese I have forgotten
• Understanding and familiarizing myself with Japanese culture
• The hearts of the Japanese people to be opened to the good news of Jesus
• Raising adequate financial support
• Joy and trust in God when times are lonely, foreign, and uncomfortable
• Equipping in the full armor of God
So far I am almost 10% of the way towards my fundraising goal! Please join me in prayer for God to be providing the rest of my financial needs and for my heart to trust fully in Him in His provision.
You can also give online if you'd like to partner with me financially.
Thank you to all those who are partnering with me both financially and more importantly prayerfully. May the hearts of the Japanese be opened to the good news of Jesus Christ!
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV)

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog! Here you will find updates and prayer requests regarding my upcoming mission to Japan with Mission to the World (MTW).
I'm excited to be going this summer and look forward to witnessing the ways God is moving in Japan and hope that I might be able to be an ambassador of Christ as I travel there on a short-term trip for 2 months.
I'll be interning with a team in Nagoya, Japan.

Specifically, I'll be working with Christ Bible Institute (http://cbijapan.org/jointheteam/) whose mission is to reach Japan's next generation of leaders, training Japanese in the gospel to be bringing the good news to other Japanese. The team is led by Michael Oh, who recently has spoken at several conferences in the United States including Urbana, Desiring God, and The Gospel Coalition.
Sadly, only less than half of 1% of the population in Japan is evangelical Christian, making the Japanese one of the largest unreached peoples in the world (2nd largest in the world according to the Joshua Project http://www.joshuaproject.net/unreached.php).
Please be praying for the news of Christ to be spread and received throughout Japan.
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? (Romans 10:14 ESV)
